What to Expect
Callbacks allow the directing team to explore casting possibilities. You may be asked to sing selections from the show, read sides with other actors, and learn a short dance combination.
Materials are provided below to help you prepare.
Nothing needs to be memorized. You are welcome to bring your materials with you.
What To Bring
• Comfortable clothing
• Shoes you can move/dance in
• Water bottle
• Printed music or sides (optional)
Understanding Callbacks
Being called back means the directing team would like to see you explore specific roles or combinations with other actors.
Not all roles require callbacks, and many performers who are not listed may still be cast in the show.
Casting decisions are made by considering the overall balance of the cast, vocal ranges, acting choices, movement ability, and how performers work together as an ensemble.
We appreciate the time and effort each performer put into their audition and are excited about the talent we saw.
Important Note
Multiple callback groups will be happening simultaneously in different rooms. Please watch for posted signs and instructions when you arrive.
