“Little Mermaid Jr.” Auditions

Seeking energetic and vibrant performers, ages 8-14, to journey under the sea in the magical production of “The Little Mermaid Jr.”.   In a magical kingdom fathoms below, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she’s the girl with the enchanting voice. Adapted from Disney’s 2008 Broadway production, Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID JR. features the hit songs “Part of Your World,” “She’s in Love,” and the Oscar-winning “Under the Sea.” 

AUDITION: Please choose one song from the designated selections below and film it beginning with your name and age. There is a guide vocal to practice with. For the audition, please play the audition cut (without guide vocals) audibly in the background while singing. Video audition (can be a link to a youtube video) and Audition Packet (click on words to open packet) with the conflict calendar filled out due by August 16th at 11:00 PM. REHEARSALS: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 4:00-7:00 pm

DRESS/TECH REHEARSALS: Mon-Wed, November 1st-3rd  4:00-9:00 pm

PERFORMANCES: November 4th-8th (Times TBA)

CALLBACKS: By invitation August 20 & 21st. Please check the website by August 19th for a callback list.

TUITION (if cast): $200. Can be paid in two installments of $105, if preferred. Sibling discount of $10.

All regular rehearsals will be held at the High Valley Arts’ Studio – 210 East Main Street, Midway (please enter from the back entrance stairs leading down to the basement). For more info, please call or text (801) 913-7223.

*All roles available are listed in the audition packet, even if not listed in the songs.  If you don’t see a specific role you are auditioning for, choose any song to sing.  Callbacks will include singing, dancing, and acting for additional roles.
