High Valley Arts Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to enriching lives through excellence in the arts and is staffed by volunteers. All donations are used to expand programs to elevate the community. The group presents a broad range of artistic events with a focus on the heritage of the community. High Valley Arts Foundation was incorporated as a 501(c)3 organization in January, 2009, with Sue Waldrip as chair.
In March of 2011, the Millstream Group, a properties management business in Midway, agreed to let HVAF stage a musical on their property at 400 East 250 South. And thus was born the High Valley Arts Outdoor Summer Theater! The Millstream Group has been generous with their time and resources, grading the property and burying electrical and plumbing lines. Volunteers poured a cement slab and provided time and materials for everything from concrete to pipes to lumber and helped build the backstage building, the permanent stage, and a tech booth. In this venue, High Valley Arts has presented eleven shows thus far, including The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma!, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamboat, The Wizard of Oz, Annie Get Your Gun, Willy Wonka, Cinderella, and most recently Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
High Valley Arts also presents a musical in December in Midway’s historic Town Hall along with a Fundraising Dinner Theater featuring elegantly decorated tables and exciting auction items. High Valley Arts has presented Christmas Carol, Beauty and the Beast, Annie, My Fair Lady, and Oliver! at theTown Hall. Coming up December 2021 will be Christmas Carol, the Musical.
In order to continue presenting uplifting musicals and heritage arts events, High Valley Arts depends upon contributions from community members and businesses. We invite you to join our growing group of supporters.
