A Glance at the Past

Past and Blue Grass

 
A delightful old-time experience featuring John Besendorfer telling stories of the past along with an exhibit of his original pioneer artifacts. Jerry Springer will present a new slide presentation of life in old-time Midway.

Ongoing live music will be performed by excellent bluegrass performers on Midway Town Plaza following the traditional Midway Sunrise Service and a delicious Pancake Breakfast. Also available will be the Plein-Air Art Exhibit and Sale by the Midway Art Association. Spend a relaxing morning in Small Town Midway's downtown.

American Flag



This year's popular Flag Raising Ceremony will feature Sheri Dew as the invited speaker. Join friends and neighbors for a motivational speech, good music, and heart-felt appreciation for the United States of America.

After the flag raising, enjoy a traditional Fourth of July pancake breakfast with sausage, eggs, and pancakes, funds to benefit a local youth group.

Midway Art Association Plein Air Paradise 2010Plein Air 2009

 

 


 



The signature event of the Midway Art Association is the Plein Air Paradise outdoor painting competition. This year's event will offer two painting competitions plus a three-day art exhibit and sale. Participating artists from all over the United States will compete, exhibit and sell their work, making this event the largest Plein Air competition in the state.
